Scope and Contents

Typescript of an interview conducted by Albert Winkler of Brigham Young University's office of Special Collections on 4 May 2001 in Cox's home in Ogden, Utah. Cox talks about his experiences as a Marine during World War II. He was a lieutenant of artillery on Saipan Island during the battle. He and his men were involved in repulsing a banzai attack by the Japanese and in the destruction of two enemy tanks.

Biographical / Historical

Cox was born in Orangeville, Utah, and was a professor at Weber State University. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
