Eliza Roundy Fillmore papers
Scope and Contents
Contains scrapbooks, correspondence, and other material from Eliza Roundy Fillmore's time as the Utah State Director for American Art Week. The correspondence comes from the American Artists Professional League and others congratulating her on her success as the director. Fillmore was also active in the American and Utah Rose Societies, and this collection includes her membership certificates, flower show awards, and information about different types of roses. Fillmore also collected newspaper clippings about the American Bicentennial Celebration, and a certificate praising her for her collection of history. The collection also includes photographs of Fillmore, mostly from when she was the Utah State Director.

Biographical History
Eliza Roundy Fillmore (1888-1977) was a painter and professional lecturer on flower arrangements in Provo, Utah.
Eliza Roundy Fillmore was an active member of the American Artists Professional League, American Rose Society, and Utah Rose Society. She served as the Utah State Director for American Art Week and as art director for the Provo Pioneer Museum and Women's Council of Provo. She was the art chairmen for other women's societies as well, and was on the Provo Art Board. She was a member of American Pen Women, and placed first with her paintings in the state organization. This allowed her to exhibit her paintings in the Smithsonian Institute in 1955 and 1959. She was very active in church, community, and club activities throughout her life.
