This collection contains the papers of the National Dividend Foundation, Inc. from 1974-1978 as the foundation tried to initiate the Nation Dividend Plan. Papers include materials discussing what the possible National Dividend Plan could do, including projected financial reports and articles published by both the National Dividend Foundation and other sources concerning national savings, tax reform, and welfare.

Administrative History
The National Dividend Foundation, Inc. proposed The National Dividend Plan, created in the 1970s with the intent of trying to pull the US budget out of its deficit. The plan purposed to take the taxes paid by coporations and divide it equally among all registered voters. It hoped that by putting money back into the consumer, it would stimulate the economy on its own without having to create more welfare programs and thus create a larger federal spending budget.
