Scope and Contents
Collection contains photocopies and bound copies of Ogden's personal journals (1976-2015) that provide background on the personalities and institutions behind the conception, construction, and operations of the Brigham Young University Jerusalem Center. Also includes a scrapbook made by D. Kelly Ogden while he was living in Jerusalem to document the publicity both for and against the building of the Brigham Young University Jerusalem Center, Jerusalem Center publicity documents, Ogden's notes on the center's curriculum and programs, a slide collection created by Ogden, and a DVD recording of a lecture presented by Ogden about the Center. Also includes scrapbooks of the Ogden family documented in various places around the world. Materials dated 1968-2018.

Biographical History
D. Kelly Ogden (born 1947) is a religion professor in Utah.
Daniel Kelly Ogden was born in 1947. He studied at Weber State University, Brigham Young University (BYU), and the University of Utah. He taught seminary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ogden, Utah between 1971 and 1975. He then came to BYU where he worked in Religious Instruction. Between 1980 and 1988 he worked in administrative positions at the university's Jerusalem Center, and continued to work with study programs in Israel after his return. A professor of ancient scripture, Ogden has also been deeply involved in service in the Church. He served as the president of the Chile Santiago East Mission from 1997 to 2000, and as president of the Guatemala Missionary Training Center from 2006 to 2008.
