Administrative History

Mormon May Day (2010) was a website for "moderate, liberal or radical Mormons" interested in political activism.

Mormon May Day was founded after a recent poll calculated that a large percentage of members of the Church of Jesus Christ self-identified as conservative or Republican, and that a large percentage of those who had left the Church self-identified as liberal or moderate, politically speaking. The purpose of the short-lived organization was to put together "Social Justice and the Gospel" firesides and activities for that year's May Day (May 1st), otherwise known as International Workers' Day. Several members of the Church became involved and participated in the site's blog-type posting.
