Scope and Contents

Contains life history of Robert M. Liddiard (1931-2017) as written by himself. Discusses personal experiences from his youth, reflections on family, and religious insight and observations. Important documents scanned into the written history include certificate of ordination to the office of a Seventy, records of selective service, and assorted photographs from his life. Contains a thumb drive with three videos of Robert giving his testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ that are also available on two computer disks within the collection. Dates within the text indicate that Robert Liddiard began writing his history as early as 2006.

Biographical History

Robert M. Liddiard (1931-2017) was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utah who served as a Seventy.

Robert Mills Liddiard was born on December 18, 1931 in Springville, Utah to parents Walter Mills Liddiard and Emily Donaldson Liddiard. Robert, commonly known as "Bob" to family and friends, spent his childhood in and around the Springville/Provo area. After graduating from high school and working for a time in Alaska, Robert served as a missionary in the East German mission. Upon his return to the United States, he dated and married Diane Kay Schauerhamer Liddiard. They were married on August 11, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had four children. Robert was ordained to serve as a Seventy in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on November 2, 1973. He served in this position for several years, helping with the missionary work of his stake. He served in various callings throughout the remainder of his life as an active member of the Church. Robert M. Liddiard died with his wife, Diane, on November 4, 2017.
