Conditions Governing Use
Bruce W. Jorgensen was born on June 2, 1944 in Salina, Utah. He has eight children: three daughters and five sons. In 1969 he recieved his M.A. in English from Brigham Young University. Then in 1978 he recieved his Ph.D. in American literature at Cornell University. He is a writer of poetry and fiction under the name Wayne Jorgensen. He was also a professor of creative writing at Brigham Young University.
In 1993 he recieved the Short Story Award from Utah ARts council for "Who Jane, Who Tarzan". Once again in 1994 he recieved the Association for Mormon letters award for "Who Jane, Who Tarzan". He has also served as President of the Association for Mormon Letters, and has written criticism that has been seminal in shaping Mormon literary tradition.
