Biographical History

Mary Clearman Blew (1939- ) is a professor of English in Idaho.

Mary Hogeland was born in 1939 in Montana to Albert H. and Doris K. Hogeland. She attended the University of Montana, earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees. She later earned her doctoral degree at the University of Missouri. After graduation she took a job teaching at Northern Montana College in 1969. She also taught at Lewis-Clark State College before joining the English faculty at the University of Idaho in 1994.

Blew has written various memoirs, novels, and biographical works.
