William R. Martin (1913- ) is the son of Thomas L. Martin.
Biographical / Historical
Thomas L. Martin was born in 1885 and died in 1958. He earned a Ph.D. degree in agronomy from Cornell University. He joined the faculty at Brigham Young University in 1921 under President Franklin Harris, and taught for 37 years. In 1950, he was acclaimed by the American Society of Agronomy as the most successful teacher of agriculture in the United States.
