Scope and Contents

Collection includes photographs relating to the life of Ida Smoot Dusenberry, including family portraits taken in Utah, photos from travel in Italy while serving as a delegate at the International Council of Women, photos from students at Brigham Young University, and miscellaneous photos. Many are gelatin silver prints, but the collection also includes possibly selenium toned silver gelatin prints, glycerine, sulfur toned developing out paper, and rotogravure. Dated approximately 1881 to 1955.

Biographical / Historical

Ida Smoot Dusenberry (1873-1955) was an educator and womens leader in Utah. She was a counselor in the General Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and associated with Brigham Young University throughout her life.
