Biographical history

Gabriel Moulin (Charles Peter Gabriel Moulin) (1872-1945) was a photographer in the San Francisco, California area.

Gabriel Moulin was born in San Jose, Californian in 1872. He was trained as a photographer by Isaiah West Taber, Max Karras, and R. J. Waters. His photographic subjects included the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, and Bohemian Grove plays. He founded Gabriel Moulin Studios in San Francisco in 1909 which he left to his sons, Irving and Raymond, after his death in 1945.

Photograph taken between 1920 and 1930 of an outdoor theater with actors dressed in Renaissance-period clothing. There is also an orchestra playing in the orchestra pit.
