Cover made of thick, dark blue cardboard. Inscription on the cover page reads "From Zina Y Williams to Oliver B Huntington. Jan. 1 1883." Pages made of white, blue-lined paper. Includes 123 numbered pages (only odd-numbered pages are numbered) followed by seven unnumbered pages. Page numbers seem to have been added, written in pencil. Entries written in light black ink, faded to brown in some places.
General Note
Diary written by Huntington between 1882 and 1884. Entries describe his daily activities in Springville, Utah, as well as descriptions of Utah politics and government, Church activities, and the Huntington family. Also contains many reminiscent accounts of the early history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the teachings of Joseph Smith. Includes reference to Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, Wilford Woodruff, John Taylor, Amasa Lyman, John Smith, Joseph Smith III, Elizabeth Lyle Saxon, Karl G. Maeser, and Abraham Smoot.
