Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, list of informants, and informants items. Items include superstitions like Ways to Prevent Bad Luck, To Do or Not To Do, Beliefs, and legends or fakelore such as Paul Bunyan stories, Daedalus, Hephaestus, historical legends and fables.
