Scope and Contents note
Report by Brigham Young University folklore student Ginger DeRusha, who collected information from Stephanie Coltrin. A child is afraid to go down into the cellar, so his mother calls her pediatrician to ask for advice. He recommends that she lock the boy in the cellar until he overcomes his fear. After reconsidering the matter, the pediatrician goes over to the boy's house to recommend letting him out. When the mother opens the cellar door, all they can find of the boy is his hand clinging to the doorknob.
