W. W. Thayer letter to Sigmund Heilner, 1886 February 2
Scope and Contents
Letter from W. W. Thayer to Sigmund Heilner. W. W. Thayer confirms that Sigmund lost the case which L. L. McArthur was trying to win for him. Thayer writes the jury was fraudulent, and the guilty verdict was on their heads, not Thayer's who must have been the judge. He was in sympathy with Sigmund on the trial that was held November 27, 1885 in Portland, Oregon. Dated February 2, 1886. Includes a transcription of the letter.
