Scope and Contents

Agreement to lease placer mining claims in the Shasta Mining District, Baker County, Oregon, held by Packwood and Carter to E. D. Cohn (Seligmann Heilner) for one year. Cohn agrees not to exceed the amount of 5000 pounds of shale. Amount paid is $1.00 and percentage of the gold found. Dated March 9, 1878.
