Aron Heliner letter to Sigmund Heilner and Seligmann Heilner, 1866 April 24
Scope and Contents
Translation of a letter from Aron Heilner to Sigmund Heilner and Seligmann Heilner. The original letter is held by Margaret Ebert, the granddaughter of Sophie. Keeping the original Old German letter, Margaret sends this translated copy to Sanford Joseph Heilner who is doing the translation of the rest of the letters. Some family member must have sent the original to Sophie's grandmother who lived in the American Mid-West, and she kept it. Some of the people mentioned in this letter died in the Holocaust in Nazi concentration camps. This letter speaks of Prussia threatening Austria with war. Italy plans to participate. Dated April 24, 1866.
