Biographical History
The Groo family were early Mormon settlers in Utah. Isaac Groo (1827-1895) was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York, and emigrated to Utah in 1854 with his wife Sarah Elizabeth Gillett Groo (1827-1892). In Utah, Groo married an additional seven wives, including Elizabeth Clark, Eliza Lyons, Mary Jane Whitney, Margaret Hunter, and Almira Mead. He had a total of twenty-eight children.
