Biographical / Historical

Isaac Groo (1827-1895) was a Mormon rancher in Utah and Wyoming.

Isaac Groo was born April 2, 1827 at Neversink, Sullivan County, New York, the son of Samuel Groo and Mercy Tuttle. On July 4, 1864 he married Mary Jane Whitney, his fourth of six wives in the order of plural marriage. Between 1875 and 1876 he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Australia. He operated a ranch in Utah and in Wyoming. Groo died on January 24, 1895 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
