Letter from W.W. Lowe, president of Crown Jewel M. & I. Co., Omaha, Nebraska, dated January 19, 1872, written on the Omaha Smelting and Refining Company letterhead and addressed to Whitney as "Foreman, Crown Jewel M. & I. Co.," regarding premiums due by Whitney for stock in the company, with a note on the verso in Pittman shorthand related to "Uncle Josh."
