Scope and Contents

Handwritten and signed letter, portrait etching, and handwritten biography. Abbot writes to "Mr. Phillips" on 22 March 1876 from "9 Wimpole St. Cavendish Sq." She states that she is glad to hear that Phillips is in London and invites him to visit her "tomorrow evening." A portrait etching of Abbott is also with the collection. On the reverse side of the item is found a handwritten biography of Abbott which outlines her singing career.
