Scope and Contents note

From the Collection: Photocopies of handwritten and printed petitions, affidavits, and published and unpublished accounts of the persecutions suffered by the Mormons in Missouri. The materials were an attempt to get redress for their grievences, especially relating to their expulsion from Missouri in 1839. The items were acquired from the National Archives and Record Service in Washington, D.C.
