Scope and Contents
Includes materials relating to the career of Michel Grilikhes while he worked in Los Angeles and Hawaii. Materials include administrative records, letters, clippings, audiovisual materials, and scripts. Many of the materials relate to the arena productions Grilikhes produced, such as Peter Pan, Disney on Parade, and the Wizard of Oz, as well as the Polynesian Cultural Center. Materials are dated 1950-1985.

Biographical Note
Michel M. Grilikhes (1923-2007) was a television and theatrical producer in California.
Michel was born in Bronx, New York, on June 11, 1923, to Anatol and Blanche Grilikhes. He joined the United States Marines at age 19, leading the motion picture unit. He received his bachelor's degree from New York University and later studied at Yale University. He began his career as a television producer for CBS. Michel came to prominence as a talented theatrical producer, working on the Disney on Parade shows beginning in 1969. He married actress Laraine Day in 1961. Michel also developed the permanent production for the Polynesian Cultural Center in Oahu, Hawaii. Michel was an ecclesiastical leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles, California. He died on March 9, 2007, at age 83.
