Scope and Contents note

Folder contains congressional records, newspaper clippings, correspondence, maps, and reports from 1962 to 1965 that pertain to the salinity of the Colorado River in the Western United States and its negative affects on irrigation and agriculture in the Southwestern United States and Mexico. Information includes recommendations to reduce the salinity problem and keep enough water for the Colorado River Basin States while maintaining a good relationship with Mexico.
