Biographical History

Mary Stallings (1878-1965) was a faithful Utah member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the sister of Alice Hazel Stallings Evans and faithfully wrote Alice throughout her life.

Mary Stallings was born February 25, 1878 in Coalville, Utah to parents Joseph Heber and Sarah Elizabeth Wilder Stallings. Mary received her education in Summit County and then went on to graduate from Brigham Young University with a degree in business. After college, Mary was called to serve in the Northern States mission. She was set apart on March 12, 1910 and later released on August 25, 1911. During her life, Mary worked as a bookkeeper and stenographer. She passed away on August 7, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
