Scope and Contents
A letter from Barnabus Lounds near Nottingham, England to his nephew James Oakey. This letter was sent to James shortly before his departure to Utah. He can't come to Nottingham as promised, but has gotten James the book and is writing him the receipts out that he promised. He is sure it will be of great use to James if he only applies it to his own family. Lydia (James' aunt, just 6 years older than he) has been trying to get him the cotton but she has only got 2 1/4 lb done and Evans will not sell less than 5 pounds worth. Dated April 30, 1863.
