Letter written by James Oakey in Nottingham, England to his wife, Mary Cooper Oakey in Caseward (Kaysville, Utah). James writes about Mary staying with him and agreeing to emigrate to America. Seleaner (unknown) and Jim (Mary's eventual husdand James Etherington) are both attempting to stop Mary from going. Mentions other family and friends that are doing well. Dated after November 26, 1862 but before James emigrated to America in 1863.
