Scope and Contents
Letter from Lalande in Paris to Mme. Dupier in Marceil on May 23. Lalande is named the Director of the Observatory upon returning from Burcei in which he went to go a visit an organization. Lalande also remarks on the rising of the Jacobins again in Paris and the rise of tarrifs as a result of the Jacobins. Lalande is informed by the embassador of Sweden, that the peace between Spain was made with a treaty in Holland. Lalande also discusses the embarking of Beauchamps from Constantinople.
