Scope and Contents
Series contains objects and papers pertaining to the harp. Contains framed decorations depicting the harp, Lyon and Healy harp books, photographs of Litterell's personal harp and correspondance about repairs on Litterell's harp, a scrapbook of events that Litterell participated in or attended. The scrapbook contains program notes, newspaper clippings, business cards, personal notes magazines and photos. There are also news clippings and a bag from the 5th World Harp Congress. The framed objects are the personal collection of decorations depicting the harp. Materials dated approximately 1900-2013.

Biographical History
Bob D. Litterell (1946-2013) was a Colorado harpist, arranger and composer.
Bob D. Litterell was born on September 10, 1946 in La Junta, Colorado. He studied the harp with Mary Bickford at Wichita State and Susann McDonald in California. Litterell was a soloist with the Kern Philharmonic. He was especially interested in rare harps and harp music, Egyptology and Egyptian culture. He traveled to Egypt to research harp music and visit the Cairo Conservatory. Litterell prepared editions of works by Parish Alvars, Eichner, Holst, Tchaikovsky and many other composers. He was a member a quintet and arranged music for the group. He performed at the Seventh World Harp Congress is Prague in 1999. In 2010 Bob Litterell was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and died as a result of the tumor on January 30, 2013.
