Tim Crandall is the owner of an orchard in Orem, Utah. He is also a full time school teacher.

Natalie Crandall is Tim Crandall's wife. She works at home and in the orchard and nursery.

Scott Crandall is Tim and Natalie Crandall's teenage son. He helps his parents work the Crandall Farm in Orem, Utah

Howayda Kamel is an Egyptian citizen who works for the Library of Egypt. She attending the folklife school as a guest of the American Folklife Center in the Library of Congress.
