Scope and Contents note
Material contains the personal history of Virgil Kovalenko and his service in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Relates the many experiences that he had with the members of the church that served in all branches of the military. He also talks about his interaction with the native Vietnamese members of the church and missionary experiences. He included transcripts of two oral histories, as well as a disk with 230 pages of journal entries (also printed) and 69 printed photos of his tour in Vietnam. He also includes VASAA (Veterans Associations for Service Activities Abroad) pamphlets, history, and the VASAA publication "Lost and Found" Volume 8, Issue No. 1. The materials mainly pertain to Kovalenko's experiences during the Vietnam War. Dated 1971-1972, 2006.
