Scope and Contents note

Material contains papers relating to the military service of William Garth Seegmiller in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War, though most of the materials relate to World War II. Included in the folder are four accounts, one relating how Seegmiller got his portrait and a portrait of his children painted by a professional artist in a hospital during the Korean War, one relating his military history, one relating his experience of Christmas in 1944, and the last relating his experience of the Fourth of July in 1944. Also included in the file are a floppy disk, a photocopied photograph of Seegmiller, copies of the portrait painted of Seegmiller and the portrait of his children painted while he was in the hospital, and a copy of the magazine "Vietnam" from Dec 2003. Dated approximately 1944, 2001-2003, December 2003.
