Materials contain a memoir of C. Verl Clark regarding his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II as the Navy paymaster and supply. He discusses being stationed in Auckland, New Zealand to find ways of improving the conditions for the soldiers such as higher pay and better food due to less expense. Discusses immorality and temptation, but also surviving three individual deadly situations. Shares several long quotations from letters to his wife. Also includes photocopies of military certificates (1942-1943), photographs, and newspaper articles. Dated 1942-1946 and approximately 2001.
