Materials contain an account in which Claude Joseph Salisbury shares his experiences, first as an engineer soldier with the Utah Army National Guard in California preparing for invasion after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and later as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He speaks of his Air Corps training, especially about the use of the "link trainer," and then of his deployment in the Pacific Theater flying supply and transport missions out of Australia through the end of the War. Dated before 2000.
