Note on verso: Altadena, Cal. July 19, 1952. Dear Clair, Thought you'd like to see how the four generations are progressing! As it won't be long until he'll be shipping the contents of the study to Zanesville, Romer decided to take some pictures. Had a marvelous [...] trip after I met Romer and Ben at Trinidad, Colo. First to Steve's camp in the Rockies, 8500 altitude, like [...] red deserted mining camp in beautiful clearing surrounded by llakes and streams- but you should see the insides of the "shacks." All the comforts, and then some. Thereafter on to Mesa Verde, north river of canyon, Bryce, Zion, etc.
