Biography

Thomas Andrew Wolsey (1909-2000) was a sealer in the Provo, Utah Temple.

Thomas Andrew Wolsey was boron on July 5, 1909, in Taylorville, Alberta, Canada to Luther Justin Wolsey and Mary Eliza Spence. Thomas worked on his family's ranch freighting and attending school when he was able. He was married on February 8, 1933, to Ida Coombs, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. Together they had four children. Wolsey moved his young family to Provo, Utah in the late summer of 1940. He went into the real estate business where he found success. While in Provo, he served as the bishop of the Provo Fifth Ward for ten years. His business interests took the family to Berkeley, California as he worked for the Elemin Company in sales until 1957, at which point he sold out to them and came back to Orem, Utah. Wolsey was also an early investor in the KOA Kampground venture. His investment with the KOA allowed the Wolseys to serve a mission together in the Texas Mission in 1967. He went on to work as a sealer in the Prov, Utah temple for many years after their mission. After the passing of his first wife in 1987, he married Henrietta Coombs on January 23, 1988, in Provo, Utah. Thomas Wolsey died on September 18, 2000, in Provo, Utah.
