Margaret Hall Rushton Alston (1822-1872) was an early member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Margaret Hall Rushton Alston was born on July 28, 1822 in Chatburn, Lancashire, England to parents William Hall and Alice Veevers. She and her family were comfortable, successful farmers who were among the first to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1838, in England. She and her sister, Jane Hall, sailed from Liverpool, England on March 8, 1843, arriving in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 10, 1843. She married John Rushton on June 25, 1843 in Nauvoo, Illinois, with whom she had 3 children. She arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 13, 1850. After the death of her first husband, she married Joseph Alston on August 12, 1851 in American Fork, Utah, with whom she had 8 children. She passed away on April 29, 1872 in American Fork, Utah after a lengthy illness.

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Maragaret Hall Rushton Alston was born in England. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated with her first husband, John Rushton, to the United States. He died in St. Louis, Missouri, and she arrived in Utah in 1850 and later settled in American Fork. She caught cold and died.
