Biography

Joseph Ira Earl (1852-1934) was a blacksmith, carpenter, an member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nevada.

Joseph Ira Earl (1852-1934) was born on September 6, 1852, to Sylvester Henry Earl and Lois Caroline Owen in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had nine siblings. He later lived in Pine Valley, Washington, and then moved to Bunkerville, Nevada by 1880. That same year he married Elethra Callista Bunker, and in 1885, he married Agnes Viola Bunker. From both wives, he would have 19 children. Earl was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was ordained as an Elder in 1879. He served as a bishop in the Bunkerville Ward. Joseph died on July 22, 1934, in Delta, Utah, in an automobile accident.
