Abstract
The collection contains handwritten letters in 1932 from Raymond in Dobey, Oklahoma to C. R. Roth of Denver, Colorado. These items were apparently written in response to questions about life in Dodge City. Raymond writes about the informal history of Dodge City including frontier dance halls, gun fights, murders, "cooties," "fallen women," vigilante justice, life in the Indian camps, and his family's service in the Union Army during the American Civil War.
