Biography
Ruth Rose (1896-1978) was an American screenwriter.
Ruth Rose was a writer who worked on several films in the 1930s and the 1940s, most famously the original 1933 classic King Kong. She was born to a playwright and acted onstage from a young age. In 1926, she met her husband, Ernest B. Schoedsack, on an expedition in which she worked as historian and he was cinematographer. They were married and she proceeded to join Schoedsack and his partner, Merian C. Cooper, working on Chang, King Kong, Son of Kong, and other films.

Ernest B. Schoedsack sound recordings
Collection includes two compact discs with sound recordings made by Ernest B. Schoedsack during the 1960s. Includes a narration of the wreck of the schooner Wisdom II by Schoedsack, and a recorded letter to a Mr. Turner in Texas. The letter has several narrative voices in addition to Schoedsack, including Ruth Rose and Robert Armstrong. Dated approximately 1960s.
