Biography
John Homer Wakefield (1901-1989) was a photographer and music professor.
John Homer Wakefield was born on July 12, 1901 in Huntington, Utah. He married Louise Katherine Russell on January 31, 1942; they would go on to have six children. He graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a degree in Botany. He obtained an advanced musicology degree from the University of Minnesota before joining the BYU music faculty in 1946. He was also an avid photographer and had photographs and portfolios published and displayed in a number of publications and locations. John Wakefield died on April 15, 1989 in Provo, Utah.
