L. Lee Bartlett (1930-2016) was an American advertising professional and communications professor.

E-mail to the author, April 24, 2012 (prefers his full name Leonard Lee Bartlett for official use; b. in Mountain Home, Idaho; 1948-1951, enrolled at BYU and majored in art; involved in campus activities, including playing saxophone in campus big band; member of BYU track team; art editor of Banyan, 1950-1951; 1951-1956, served in U.S. Air Force in Korean War; graduated from Officer Candidate School, 1953; assigned to Headquarters USAF Europe, involved in Eastern Europe target area analysis; received Commendation Medal for work on classified intelligence publication; after discharge, returned to Provo to complete senior year at BYU; graduated May 1957, B.A. Degree in Art; 1957-1987, worked in advertising; lived ten years in Chicago, 17 years with Cole & Weber in Seattle, and three years in Cole & Weber's California offices; retired from Cole & Weber advertising agency when offered a faculty position in BYU Department of Communications; 1987-2002, taught advertising, mass media ethics, and introductory art history course; completed master's degree in art history, 1989; Communications Department chair, 1995-1996; 1996 named Assistant to the President, University Communications; served on President's Council during the Bateman administration; retired, May 2000; served as BYU Olympic Coordinator for Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympics; retired again after Winter Games; served as President of the Brigham Young Academy Foundation; served on Provo Arts Council and member of Provo Center Focus program; served on Provo Foster Care Review Board; former chair of LDS Church Utah South Public Affairs Council; lives in Provo with wife Sue)
