Biographical History
George H. Hansen (1896-1981) was a geology professor and administrator at Brigham Young University, who served as dean of the graduate school between 1954 and 1957. Hansen spent time in Indonesia establishing a geology department at the Gadjah Mada University in Jogjakarta, Indonesia.

Also contains photos of George Hansen, the head of the Geology Department, and the study of geology and geography at BYU. Included are photos of the home economics program, including students cooking and involved in clothing and textiles, as well as photos from the horticulture and landscape program, circa 1937-1953.
