Biographical History
E. A. Brininstool (1870-1957) was an American cowboy poet and author.
Earl Alonzo Brininstool was born on October 11, 1870, in Warsaw, New York. He moved to Los Angles, California in 1895, where he spent most of his life. He worked for a local newspaper in Los Angeles, but later became a freelance writer. He became a prolific author, writing on western history and on General Custer in the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Though he never worked as a cowboy, he composed thousands of cowboy poems. Brininstool died on July 28, 1957, in Los Angeles.
