Biography

Roger Lewis Bagley (1946-2017) was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, US Veteran and city manager.

Roger Lewis Bagley was born on December 13, 1946 to Royal Anderson Bagley and Iris Mary Ellen Goodwin in Logan, Utah. He served in the West German Mission for the Church in 1965. Before his mission he met Jenna Dorene Peterson, with whom he corresponded throughout his mission and then married on November 26, 1968. They had three children together: Trevor, Monique and Kirsten. Roger was active in many Church callings throughout his life.

Roger attended BYU, joined the Army as an active duty soldier, and then stayed in the Army Reserve for a total of twenty years of service. Roger worked for the city and county government of White Rock, New Mexico for eleven years. He then became the city manager of Rupert, ID for seven and a half years. Roger suffered from Parkinson’s disease for several years before his death on June 24, 2017 in Tooele, Utah.
