Biography
Henry Chariton Jacobs (1846-1915) was a Patriarch in the Churc of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Henry Chariton Jacobs was born to Henry Jacobs and Zina D. Huntington on March 22, 1846, in Charlton, Iowa, to Henry Bailey Jacobs and Zina Diantha Huntington. Henry was raised in the household of Brigham Young. In 1867, he was called to fill a mission to Great Britain for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served until 1870. Henry married Susan Stringham on April 23, 1871, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died on October 14, 1915, in Ogden, Utah.

Jacobs family letters
The Jacobs family letters are correspondence between Zina Diantha Huntington Jacobs Smith Young, Henry Bailey Jacobs, and their son, Henry Chariton Jacobs. In addition to these letters, there are also diary excerpts from Zina and Henry's other son, Zebulon Jacobs. The collection consists of two folders and is 123 pages in length. The dates of the correspondence ranges from 1846-1915.
