Biographical History

Ernest DeAlton Partridge was born June 13, 1869, in Fillmore, Utah. In 1892, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Michigan. He married Elizabeth May Truman in Utah on August 16, 1896. They had five children: Ruth Louise Partridge, Truman Edward Partridge, Ernest de Alton Partridge, Gertrude Elizabeth Partridge, and Lyman Maurice Partridge. Ernest was killed on May 2, 1923, in the Denver & Rio Grande train wreck near Grassy, Utah. He was buried in Provo, Utah.

Typewritten autobiography in two volumes. Also included are photocopies of handwritten items and newspaper clippings. The first volume of the autobiography covers the years when Partridge grew up in Provo, Utah. The second volume is entitled: "As I Remember it" and covers the years when Patridge got his education and began to teach.
