Biographical History

Meryl Dunn Jones (1909-1983) was a missionary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Eastern States Mission who helped write the first Hill Cumorah Pageant.

Meryl Dunn was born September 26, 1909 in Logan, Utah to Charles Welch Dunn and Lula Magdalena Schenk. She was the second of nine children. She attended the University of Utah and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Eastern States Mission. While she was serving, she helped write the first Hill Cumorah Pageant. After her mission, she married Robert Elmer Jones on June 3, 1938. Together they had five children. Meryl worked in the church office building before their family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She passesd away October 20, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
