Sterling J. Albrecht (1937-) served as the director of the Brigham Young University library from 1980 to 2002.

Sterling J. Albrecht (born 1937) earned a bachelor of science degree in 1962 from the University of Utah. In 1971 he received a master's in library science from Brigham Young University. He started working for the BYU Library in 1971. He became library director in 1982 and continued in this capacity until retiring in 2002.
