Scope and Contents Letter from C. W. Wandell to James Duane Doty, Governor of Utah Territory, concerning his suitability to be appointed Associate Justice of the territory or Postmaster of Salt Lake City. He affirms his loyalty to the Union and to the present administration. Further, Wandell states he "has not hesitated to rebuke the veiled treason existing in Utah."
